DeSantis is coming out as a promoter of Big Government over private enterprise.

More evidence that it is time to leave the Republican Party, unless you are an extremist. They call you RINOs and don't stand for the same freedoms and free enterprise you endorsed. They believe in "Q" a conspiracy advanced by an old burnt-out NSA associate of my brother. They support a political Carpet Bagger who calls the communist Putin a "genius," for attacking a smaller, less armed neighbor Democracy.

The best thing real, conservative Republicans can do is let these Unamerican Totalitarian supporters lose by staying at home this November. They will abandon your party when it no longer serves their purposes.

I am a capitalist. Walt Disney was a Reagan Republican. Like most Republicans of his era, he supported the Civil Rights movement and did not discriminate against anyone wanting to come to his park. The Disney Corporation has carried that attitude on to include all people targeted for biased treatment. That is why they are being targeted by extremist bigots.

When Disneyworld was planned, the area was swampland, and the local governments could not afford the fire, emergency and police infrastructure necessary to support such a venture. Disney agreed to take on self-governance to assure the safety of their customers. This cost Disney money they did not have to spend. They could have made the counties hire necessary specialists that would have increased taxes for all their citizens, not just Disney. If their self-government is dissolved, the counties and taxpayers will have to take responsibility and assume their share of costs.

This would be corporate welfare and preferential treatment if the taxpayers had to pay for services, because of Disney's presence. Isn't that what you are advocating?

50+ years of preferential status was more than sufficient to establish Disney as a multi faceted media conglomerate. The consequences of ending the preferential status will but them on equal an equal basis with the others in amusement and media industries. I am OK with that.

What you folks label as "Wokeism," we used to call "Libertarianism." The Supreme Court axiom was that your "rights," end at "my nose." That meant that I had the right to be whatever I wanted to be, even an extremist White Supremacist racist. If I did not break the law, you had no say. In other words, the laws that allow you to freely be what you want to be, applies equally to LGBTQ people. Disney is just continuing to use a Libertarian philosophy that dates back to April 11, 1955, when Disneyland opened.

You have a child's understanding of the world. You are not being forced to use polite language. You can use the "N"-word or similar language all you wish. You can use language that others find hurtful all you wish. But, if the majority objects to your language, there will be consequences. It may be as simple as ostracism or as harsh as losing a job opportunity. All grown-ups understand consequences.

My Grandma used to remind my parents, "Little Pictures have Big Ears." I fear that people obsessed with the Q-Anon mythology about politically motivate massive child molestation may be harming children in their houses. Our children hear our conversations, our TV shows and the radio stations in our cars. They hear a lot of stuff they are not intellectually equipped to process or cope with. No child should be forced to hear language and information about sex that is inappropriate for their age group. Period. You wouldn't watch porn on the living room TV in the afternoon. Yet, many hyper-politically motivated people routinely expose impressionable children to word-images that they find disturbing and dismaying.
