remember, the same kind of people that say what's in a woman's womb is not alive are the same people that don't want people to crack open an infertile chicken egg and eat it because that's cruel.

Actually, most vegans object to eating unfertilized eggs because the conditions that the laying hens are kept in is considered cruel. And they don't want to contribute to that system.
Me, i just want cheap eggs.

Shout out for using an Ippo template. (Probably one of the best sports anime/manga. Only sports anime that’s arguable better is InitialD in my opinion)

You do realize that the sperm in a man is already living, and a women's egg cell has 24 hours to live.... And in a lab setting throughout the world billions of embryos are waiting to be hatched and can stay in one state for eternity, that is until the power is shut off. So what is it about conception? Because a sperm is already alive, and a egg cell is already living, and once combined a mutation occurs and a tumor forms and then a parasite attacks a host holding a woman hostage for the rest of her life if she wants it to be that way.

You asked what's special about conception. Well, conception is the only time two sets of genetic code come together you form a human being. The DNA that is produced never existed before.

You see, sperm and egg are cells like any cell in your body in the sense that they have the same 46 chromosomes that every other cell in your body has. However, when sperm and egg are joined, they do something unique. The sperm will give 23 chromosomes and join to the egg that will give 23 of it's chromosome. Together they form a unique being of 46 chromosomes.

That is what is so special about conception, it is the earliest point that a unique being is created. There is no other genetic code needed at that point.

What about lab created zygotes and embryos? Conception in a test tube? If you had something in your body and it was either a risk or you don't want it in your body, you would keep it for the reasons of cells turning into a human, that will eventually die one way or another? Then the people storing embryos for the sake of it, when does the time come to distroys test tube embryos? Is that right, or wrong?

So if infinity amount of embryos can be made, what is the value of life? Just because a sperm and egg make dna, the value one person put on such genetic material is not going to be the same across several individuals. Because we don't all live with the same beliefs or values. If you got in a space ship and travled a million light years away, and looked at earth with a telescope, you would find that you haven't been born yet. Because light years is past years. So weather or not something should exist in a moment of time because it has separate dna is a lame excuse when dna is in great supply, it's not like earth is going to run out of humans anytime soon.

Can't help but notice that you answered your own question in a way that "most biologists" do NOT agree with.

95% of biologists answered that life begins at fertilization... Here is the PhD paper, if you can be bothered to read the abstract: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3211703

The central question about abortion is: “When is that homicide justifiable?”

This leftist moved the goal post on you. He first challenged your statement about "most biologist agreeing when life begins," then when you responded with supporting evidence, he pivoted to the topic being about "legal consideration."

It shows that he either isn't smart enough to realize that he was wrong or that he's too immature to admit it.

And yet you obsessed over "who's qualified to speak about it" and cited a paper that said "not us" without reading it.

I'm going to keep this thread in the special memories vault.
