This must be bigly upvoted also. We even named some of those climate changes. We call them winter, spring, summer and fall. Other names were the "Medieval Warming Period" (950 to 1250 AD), the "Maunder Minimum" (mini ice age - 1645 to 1715 AD) and the "Dalton Minimum" (also a mini ice age - 1796 to 1820 AD).
The alarmists have to alter history to make global warming work because it is clear by the type of clothing that was worn in England and even Scotland that they "Medieval Warming Period" was much warmer than today. You just do not wear a tunic in Scotland today without freezing to death.
The Renaissance saw people in Italy, France and Spain wearing layers and layers of clothing during the "Maunder Minimum" because it was cold.
There was still enough residual cold around from the Dalton Minimum that the Mormons, escaping to Utah, were able to cross the Mississippi River, in Illinois, in the winter because it was frozen solid. I'll bet no one alive today has ever seen the Mississippi in Nauvoo, Illinois frozen solid. I lived in Kansas City, Mo in the 2000's and I never saw the smaller Missouri River even come close to freezing solid. All I ever saw was just pieces of ice floating down river.
