It's so strange because it's so beyond mere difference of opinion, matter of perspective, analysis of facts... It really is a cultish group who very deliberately and intentionally lie, even when the opportunity rises that allows them to tell the truth in support of whatever matter might be at hand. Everything they say must be twisted and squeezed through this lying sieve.
I feel sorry for the handful of people we see that are earnest and share a certain viewpoint that just so happens to be in line with this shrieking chorus because they have to grin and bear it, going along with the embarrassment because to disagree with them would seem counterproductive in regards to to their own position and the point they're trying to make.
It's like being with a group on the street that got in a confrontation with another, and there's that loudmouth that keeps yapping stupid stuff that you now have to back him up on despite him being an idiot that needs a good ass whupping but you're protecting him instead because he's one of yours.
This is part of why I like flying solo. My bs is my bs for me to deal with as I laid it out, no unwanted dangling side spurs.
