When they get too brown and spotted for my wife to consider edible (which isn't too much), they become my bananas so I guess right around there, lol.

Barely ripe or underripe
once it gets ripe, I struggle to even be able to eat it, and if it just gets a tad farther than ripe I'll gag and can't even finish a bite

I don't really eat bananas any of those ways, but I do like the dehydrated banana chips (they have the most radioactive material to weight ratio).

Yea, it tastes like it looks by then but it makes good bread especially if you put chocolate chips in it!

Agreed! my mom does the same thing. although i have never tried banana bread with chocolate chips in it. it does sound good tho!

Very ripe
The first two are inedible as far as I'm concerned, they're very unsweet and not even as healthy
The middle is acceptable but still not the best, as it's starting to get sweeter but not fully there yet
Very ripe is sweet and easy to eat
Overripe is sweet but is too soft and is extremely mushy and quite the mess to hold in your hand

Btw I just ate a ripe banana a few moments ago
