In the UK, there is no worry about a 'biased source', because the BBC is generally quite trustworthy. There are actually several parties running for PM, rather than just two parties that are disturbingly similar. I do think Labour has stopped being a proper Union's party, but otherwise, the election process is generally better. I do think the US has better gun laws than the UK, but easily the countries with the best ones are countries like Switzerland, Germany, and the Nordics. The US also has the an extremely high incarceration rate, only really bested by countries like Russia, China and North Korea.
