But seriously, this really is just a joke. The two countries are better at different things. I'm just saying the US is more free in general. Liberal run States like California and New York bring our overall level of freedom down. But in most States, we are very free.

A ridiculously high incarceration rate (0.7%), as opposed to 0.1% in the UK and Canada, is nothing you can just wipe away. The only examples you've shown are gun restrictions (A lot of which don't apply in mainland Europe), and covid incarcerations specifically. If you look at the wider number, then it is clear that you either have a f*cked up judiciary system, or you've got some crazy laws up there

So really, you've got nothing on the us. Sure, we're not perfect, but we're better off than you guys. And the sad part is, there's a lot of freedom loving british, australian, new zealander, and Canadian citizens that are freedom loving people, but their government is imposing law after law on them.

Again, could I see that incarceration rate you got there? Seems awfully high.

In the UK, there is no worry about a 'biased source', because the BBC is generally quite trustworthy. There are actually several parties running for PM, rather than just two parties that are disturbingly similar. I do think Labour has stopped being a proper Union's party, but otherwise, the election process is generally better. I do think the US has better gun laws than the UK, but easily the countries with the best ones are countries like Switzerland, Germany, and the Nordics. The US also has the an extremely high incarceration rate, only really bested by countries like Russia, China and North Korea.
