How is that working for you? I assume everyone, including you, in your neighborhood are using electric cars powered by solar energy right? Powering your home through the winter with solar panels and Tesla tiles, am I right?

Renewable energy keeps getting cheaper and electric cars keep getting better. Fossil fuels are increasingly reliant on the sorts of government handouts, tax breaks, subsidies that free-market Republicans should theoretically hate, but can’t quit because defending them brings them a steady stream of campaign cash.

So, put all those subsidies and tax breaks toward clean, renewable energy — keeps our air clean and helps break our dependence on foreign oil, even if you don’t believe any of the climate change science.

It’s an astoundingly simple win-win, both for the country and for the planet, but no, gotta demagogue and make fun of them libz in Teslas amiright?

I know that renewable energy is getting cheaper, as a matter of fact it is free, the Sun provides enough energy in one day to power the planet for a whole year, but that does not answer my question, instead you are going on your on tangent. "So, put all those subsidies and tax breaks toward clean, renewable energy" who is gonna do that? and that brings back to my original question which you are trying to dodge, here we go again, let me make it more clear, do you and the people in your neighborhood have electric power cars BY solar panels (not batteries because that also has a huge environmental cost, just do a google search for images of lithium-ion and lithium polymer mines)? Hop on in to what? to a post not answering my question?

We don’t have cars powered entirely by solar panels, we don’t have hydrogen-powered cars, and we don’t have self-driving flying cars powered by Elon Musk’s compressed farts.

Yet!

Tech takes time to develop, but we’ve identified problems in need of solutions. Are you even going to try?

I personally think Elon Musk is a dick, and Tesla is overhyped, but there are auto companies across the world working on the same problems because they know it’s the future.

All that private innovation, plus redoubled public Investment in transit infrastructure, plus eliminating tax breaks for private jets and super-yachts and those sorts of things, pretty obvious and necessary solutions for our current predicaments.

so you are trying to tell me we do not have the technology yet. Okay, please come back to me when we do, otherwise bu bye. Until then, we stopped our oil production to depend on Russia's oil once again making us oil dependent on the enemy. Made things worse, not better. Bu bye.
