The shockwave alone- if it's close enough, can fracture your skull. An actor recently killed himself when he jokingly put a blank loaded pistol to his head and pulled the trigger.

Ye even the less dangerous ones r fatal, even a bb gun has the power to kill if ur hit in the head just right
