I actually have not read the law, but the national archives themselves announced today that the 15 boxes he took with him definitely had classified documents in them that absolutely by law belonged in the archives. So they forwarded that to the justice department earlier. From what I have read, just about any piece of paper involving the president are to be turned into the archives. Obviously nothing classified should have ever left the White House. I think personal letters and the like don’t fall under the act, but most every other documents do.
