it's weird. Biden is a lifelong warhawk with MANY reasons to legitimately criticize him. They choose to make up shit about him. LOL It's literally WAY easier to find REAL reasons to dislike Biden. This kind of stuff just makes them look even dumber than they are.

Even so as someone who voted for him, they set the bar so low that I don't have much to complain about except how student loans are taking forever for him.

Whether they asked us to or not, they are a member of the UN, and NATO; they are our allies. It's our responsibility as a member of both to come to the aid of our allies.

Ukraine isn’t in NATO. That’s a major issue to the situation, actually.

The reason is because they were meant to be the nuetral zone between NATO and Russia. Russia is now saying "F**k that."

NATO itself should defend NATO members (which they are) - if Ukraine wants Allied military defense (not NATO….allied individual countries) they need to ask for military assistance from those allies. Plain and simple. They have asked for sanctions 5 days ago. Any unsolicited military aid could be turned into “aggression” by Ukraine to placate Russia.

“Aid” is relative. If they don’t ask for aid, none is needed.

Anyway, Biden’s always been a pro-war guy. He loves it.

If he was a war-hawk, he'd be making offensive maneuvers; looking for some military retribution.

This move is purely defensive and intended to protect against Russia Invasion. Mind you, he could have met Russia's troop numbers soldier for soldier, but he didn't. I'm not sold that he's some war-mongering war-hawk.

Im not defending any other senators, majority of them are shitbags. Biden’s own hand picked sec of defense is from Raytheon. That alone is telling.

PS- The US should come to the aid of its Allies when the Allies ask for aid. NATO is there to protect the countries in NATO. The US has no right or duty to “aid” a sovereign nation if the sovereign nation doesn’t ask for aid. Doing so is only provoking war with any perceived aggressor (as well as some of the locals), unless the aggressor is perceived by the Ally of the US and that ally asks for aid.

Let NATO do it’s job and protect the neighboring countries around Ukraine that are members of NATO. Let Ukrainian leadership decide what happens in Ukraine. If they want or need help they will ask for it. Depending on who they ask for help, those nations should help Ukraine….or not. But in any case it should Not be NATO aiding since Ukraine isn’t a member of it. If Ukraine wants to join NATO, let them ask for membership.

This really is bigger than Biden. With Russia's history of annexation on Ukrainian borders has placed a lot of tension on the table.

Ukraine doesn't want to become Russia, Russia wants to turn Ukraine into Russia. NATO wants Ukraine to make up it's own mind on what it wants to do Russia is posing to rob them of this choice.

Not in my opinion. Biden has shown time and time again he is not anti-war to ANY degree- he certainly seems to lean more PRO war than anti war. It's ok to be critical of Biden even as a Democrat/Lefty/Progressive/whatever. Especially when the facts are right there. His history and current cabinet speaks for itself. If John McCain was a warhawk...and he WAS.....so is Biden.

Now- Again, Ukraine may not want to become Russia. And- they have every right to ask allies for aid. And their allies should help if/when asked. Sticking in our noses in everything without proper reason/protocol got us into basically every war/non-war military action after WW2. And our track record and reputation isn't so great for it. I am all for helping our allies, but we need to do so when properly requested to do so.

I respect your opinion and we'll leave it at that.

Right. As predicted. And yet Ukraine has not asked allies for military help. Poland, Germany, etc are all RIGHT THERE. Yet no one is moving because Ukraine won’t ask for fear of upsetting mother Russia. It’s weird. Like they have battered wife syndrome.
