Ahh, so saying me as trolling is cool to say but daring to criticize the house goes MIA...?
I, under a diff account, was one of the very 1st - if not THE 1st - to get comments deleted when this thread was fresh out of the box, and that was courtesy of a former sycophant for whom I was no longer fighting his flame wars for (that "trolling" you refer to, basically responding in kind for the larfs and because this, like any other site, is more about the show than substance) and for comments that were not offensive nor harsh, just posted by me. The (one) owner's response was "sorry not sorry" [sic].
The next year, one newer member/mod likewise deleted every single comment I posted, also for personal grievances, not content. I had given him some grief for months prior, so he had his reasons. Albeit perhaps this wasn't the proper way to address them, but que cera, c'est la vie, I understand how his motives got inspired, it's in the past.
Then when this came up months later elsewhere, a wannabe troll claimed to be the one deleting my comments with one of her gazillion alts. So that's 2, maybe 3, on account of my endearing personality.
A return to my Modda account has witnessed folks that formally got along well with me via my other persona - even accused of being my alts when they joined - responding with a different air on this stream, particularly when I dared to disagree with with one of 'the crowd.'
Having been accused myself of white knighting too much for my own good - even for some of the most unsavory sorts on this site - I do understand them sticking up for their buds.
Difference is, I try to keep it real and tell it straight, as that former sycophant found out the hard way.
Look at my interactions with OM. I've agreed AND disagreed with him on various aspects of the SAME issue on the SAME meme, but he doesn't get butthurt about it. That's what's called being adult and having an honest discussion.
I treat people the way they wish to be treated. If they think me not putting a pretty red bow on it makes me an adorable bridge monster, then all the better, because I'd rather that than be a buttocks smoocher. Plus I aim to please.
PS: I don't dislike this stream nor am I perplexed about the response on occasion I receive. Overall it's much preferable to others politics streams, although Conservatives has been alright with me so far, not that I venture there as often.
