I just use homemade thermite on top of the drives. Got it rigged when I flip a switch the drives are slag in seconds.

Hitting the hard drive with a hmmer does nothing to the platter. I can rebuild that dented drive and get the data. You must drive a nail through the platter. Most modern machines dont even spin drives any more (at least mine dont).
