Always funny to see the ignorant trying to push memes.

Outright communists are fully in charge of places like Sanfran, Orgeon, Chicago. They have big minimum wages. They been doing everything you wanted for decades now. What has been the results? Well, street covered in human poop, massive tent cities of the "homeless".

I believe you are pile driving yourself.

I think you mean liberals, but okay, everyone else is ignorant but you.

Any one that thinks the feds should be in the rent control business, does not understand the function of government in a free society.

The role of government is obviously to respect landlord’s property rights so they can raise the rents and kick you out onto the streets! That’s freedom!

Right. Obviously it is their fault they are homeless. No wonder Republicans don’t win elections anymore.

The governor of Virginia says hi.

In many cases, yes their actions have created this consequence

So it’s their fault they got laid off during the pandemic?

There are 17 million vacant homes and half a million homeless in the US. Your system is trash.

That’s unacceptable. Nobody should be okay with this.

And yet here we are. Since you seem to be so embedded into their welfare, how many do you house nightly?

I live in a tiny studio. I can’t house anyone. Why don’t the landlords with all the open 17 million homes do it? That seems more reasonable.

I’m sure if someone comes along with the rent money and credentials, they happily house them

You’re justifying people going without homes and accusing me of thinking life should be fair, like I’m being unreasonable or having a home is asking too much. Everyone has a right to shelter and food. It’s shocking that you can’t see beyond your indoctrination.

So people should live on the streets in harsh weather, risking their safety just because they can’t afford an apartment? You actually believe that?
[deleted]

Oh, let me guess, you think life should be fair.
How old are you?

I think the problem is that workers just believe that work is enough, just get a menial job working 8 hours, never learn about investing money or building their own business and think that they're just supposed to start a family and get a house. Then when the economy is struggling they feel duped by the system and overwhelmed. That's how we start going communist, the worker feels victimized and then they vote for promises of relief from the goobermint and just get shafted even harder.

How do you invest when 90% of the working class lives paycheck to paycheck?
