That's the story governments have been selling since the dawn of "civilization". There are too many of us now. Government has to change to keep up. Going back to propaganda to brainwash the population works but it doesn't work as well with three hundred and thirty million people that are just trying to make a living and find some peace. Dems and Repubs are looking for the same thing. They just had different opinions on how to help people achieve that. Now? Now nobody's trying to achieve anything. They're ALL just trying to prove their side is right and the other side is wrong. Blah, blah, blah. It takes two to rip things apart.
This is where we are. What's happened doesn't matter anymore. Where WE go from here is all that matters. We can keep fighting until what we all knew is completely gone and this country becomes a military ruled country where the people have no rights...or...we can try and stop the radicals...ON BOTH SIDES... and keep our freedoms.
Wipe the slate clean. Get rid of every single elected government official and start over. They're not the ones running the offices. They're just the ones we elect to keep the books. They've all made themselves more important than they are. Again...jmo.
