Blank White Template | 1/0 IS INFINITY TRUST ME | image tagged in blank white template | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

well, while that is a decent theory, the problem is that infinity isn't enough. lets solve this with some simple math. take the equation of 1/0=x. you think x=∞, well then, we flip the equation into one that will allow us to check our answer. x∙0=1, so you think ∞∙0=1. well, we know that anything, even infinity, multiplied by 0, equals 0. so, the equation is actually this ∞∙0=0. and we also know that we would come to this conclusion with any other number if you plug in ∞. that's why its not infinity. because no matter what, when you check your answer, you will have zero, and in order to prove that its correct, it needs to be the same as the number you initially put in, in this case, 1.

Actual Advice Mallard Meme | isn't it undefined? it's just 0. | image tagged in memes, actual advice mallard | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

no. that's not what the equation means. when checking an answer, you need to be able to flip the equation and all the numbers should be the same. if it was correct, because the original is 1/0=∞ the second equation would have to be ∞∙0=1 in order to make it true, but it doesn't work the second equation, once fixed, is ∞∙0=0. so, because both equations are not correct when one is flipped, it is false. the answer is undefined because no matter what you put in, when you go to check the equation, you always get 0. if you put in 0, its still incorrect because there are several arguments that are all equally valid, but each contradicts each other, meaning its undefined. if you need further explanation: https://youtu.be/SQzjzStU1RQ

Actually infinite.0=undefined as well.
There are 7 undefined calculations, I think.
1/0, 0/0, inf/0, 1/inf, inf.0, .......ah crud forgot the other ones.......i think root(-1) as well, but that's an imaginary number....but it's undefined..? But it's defined now as imaginary.....HMM.....

Actually it's not, it's undefined, meaning we just have no answer by definition. However, as the value of the denominator approaches 0, the value of this approaches infinity, which has a different meaning entirely.

No! Like, if you give 1 in 0.5 groups. It will fell like 2 in 1 group, so its infinite.

you are replying to a comment, on a comment that is not even yours, complaining that someone offered an answer. how about we find who asked you? oh wait, it was nobody. lets look for an actual reason you would comment on this, aside from being asked. oh, look! I found one, it says, "being an asshole"

oof lol. never liked these "who asked" things. Information should be offered, and then accepted, if they want it. If it's something useless and hurtful I kinda get it.

yeah. I also just hate that, for this one, its not even the guy who commented in the first place.

No no look, uh......think of it like this. You have a magic cape, and you're putting it on. Thing is, when you put it on, everything it covers cease to exist. But, when you almost put it on, you still exist. You put it on, non-exist. But you almost put it on, even when it's reaaaallly close, you still exist. Same like that, you put 1/0 directly, it doesn't exist. But you go to something like 1/0.0000000000000000000000000000001, it still exists, and as you get closer and closer, it comes closer and closer to the expected value. Geddit?

And i found out that the desmos grath calling massive numbers undefind, like for example 2,0035299E19728.

I just went back to show proof.
0 ups, 3y
Here's my proof. If you wanna be able to maneuver a bit more, go to Desmos graph and type in 1/x. See, as the x-coordinate value slowly becomes zero, the y-coordinate value (which is the answer basically) keeps going higher. And Higher. Or lower and lower. But if you look closely, the x-coordinate value never becomes 0. meaning it's undefined. And so at super close to 0, we say it's pretty close to infinity. Geddit Now?

Oh yeah, you could check it there too, there's an Fx option.
0 ups, 3y
Oh yeah, tan 90 is also undefined....because it's also a 1/0 form if you think about it.

What actually undefind is tan(90 on Deg.

No, I know, but it's actually an approximation. undefined is different from infinity

Infinity is a term used to describe something that never ends. It isn't going to be a number.

Ahh, I remember this discussion. Also, we're definitely talking about the number, because you wouldn't talk about calculators when using the first definition.
