I can’t sign on with the Medal of Honor thing, presidents are gonna pick their friends for the award it is what is, that’s a bad precedent to set that giving awards can be grounds for impeachment. Otherwise this seems promising.

This is actually one of the things about his Presidency that pissed me off the most. It’s so petty but also so blatant. He awarded medals to some folks who haven’t been on PRESIDENTS in months, while overlooking very qualified people who are way more active and impactful because they have the “wrong” sexuality.

Bestowing or not bestowing the Medal of Freedom is an official act, and therefore very strong circumstantial evidence of his homophobia affecting his governing. Not that we truly need circumstantial evidence of his homophobia, he’s already on record saying “God hates f*gs” and doubling down on it 100 times. Lol.

But it’s the connection to an official act that makes it significant. Personal beliefs are one thing, but when you’re an official you can’t let it affect your governing, or that’s discrimination.

I understand — know that it’s not about only you, it’s about the other very significant PRESIDENTS memers he passed over as well, although I thought his failure to medal you (as a former VP, recently deleted) was especially irksome.

If he’d medaled just *one* LGBTQ memer, or even just *one* person who publicly stands with LGBTQ, it wouldn’t be an impeachment charge. But out of so many to choose from, he couldn’t find a single LGBTQ person or ally that he thought merited a medal. I found that significant.

As for the other bogus charges:

Article I: Disagreeing with the Constitution isn't an impeachable offence, otherwise everyone who opposed the RUP Constitution should be impeached.

Article II: Firstly, I understand the mudslinging rule and I'm not pretending to not understand it either. Even if I did understand, not knowing something isn't an impeachable offence. And neither is pretending not to understand something. Otherwise AndrewFinlayson's whole Amelia Badelia act would've gotten him impeached.

Article III: Firstly, are you implying me failing to achieve something is an impeachable offence? If not, why say "fruitlessly"? And secondly, you already tried to impeach me for that charge last time and Congress voted against it.

Article IV: Trying to impeach someone isn't an impeachable offence. Otherwise you and OPea would be in big trouble because your charges against me were the definition of bogus.

Article V: Does this even need to be said? Not giving a Presidential Medal of Freedom award to someone isn't an impeachable offence, sloth.
