It looks more and more like an INSURRECTION all the time...just not a very successful one...😄

The planning was poor, the execution was worse. Did they expect Trump to issue a "Stand Down," order if weapons came into play? That would have very likely been a 25th Amendment event, and viewed by military leaders as an illegal order, which they would not follow. Instead of scheduling trials for the mob, we would have scheduled funerals for many of them.

Really?
How so?
No one was killed by a protestor
No fires were set
No firearms were brought to the Capitol
The only death was at the hands of a Private Security Guard who was afgraid of his own shadow

Read the 81-page indictment. A Grand Jury believed the evidence enough to make this guy stand trial for his misdeeds. If we are lucky, these trials will take place this Fall. Just in time to influence the Mid-Term Elections.

Did you see where Trump's last Acting Defense Secretary testified in private to the 1-6-21 Committee? Sec. Miller has already said publicly that in a meeting on an unrelated topic on the evening of 1-5-21, Trump asked him how many National Guard were activated for his 1-6-21 Rally. When he replied that he had approved a little over 300-Troops as requested by the DC Mayor, Trump told him to do whatever he wanted. Trump added that he would need 10,000. Why would he say they would need 10,000 Guardsmen for a "Peaceful Rally?" Records of that meeting have been requested by the Committee.

Again...the DOJ has proven itself untrustworthy over the past 6+ years, so, there is also that.

Except that DOJ was Trump's.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...Trump nominated a lot of people that were recommended to him by "career politicians".
The R and the D don't mean shit anymore. Enough with the "collective" so-to-speak...lets' get back to electing the "individual" based on his or her merits, not their damned political affiliation.

Um, yeah, GOP lackeys - or so he was banking on. When he refers to them as "his" ....

It's been a corrupt duopoly for quite a long time.

I tend to vote for underdogs and outsiders or those with supposedly no chance.
Jill Stein in 2016, Jo Jorgensen in 2020 and Curtis Sliwa for NYC Mayor in 2021.
People tell me, "But why, you're helping 'the other guy' win..." and I tell them the D/R shitters are both worthless. My vote is basically just to make a statement. I'd rather vote for someone who loses but has integrity rather than for yet another cog in the crooked DC machine.

Additionally, It was Obama's DOJ when the silly-assed collusion narrative and the criminal "Steele Dossier" were produced, so...there is that.

Obama keeping quite about Russian threats to meddle lest it look like he was trying to sway the election and Comey's two-week-prior illegal bogus announcement that cost Hillarat the election was what?
