No way would most people buy Calvins when worn by a woman with a pis*ed off/belligerent attitude who also happens to be carrying around 150 extra pounds. Ditto here, norsegreen! After I posted, I was thinking I should have mentioned that women come in all sizes (supposedly some with appendages but that is for another meme) and I have seen many plus-sized beautiful women in ads. The lady above clearly has the nasty SJW attitude and defiant stance which is a major turn-off to me so can imagine men being 'totally turned off' to it.

I do like to be able to vote, but if voting emotionally without cerebral input, well, that pretty much defines the liberal female today. They are running roughshod over males. Having been raised in a time when men were respected and wore the pants in the family and we wore the panties, there were a lot fewer divorces, too. I also agree attractive women come in all sizes. But there is a difference between large healthy women and the frankly morbidly obese. I just don't like seeing women encouraged to think being this huge is a positive thing any more than women being encouraged to starve themselves. In both cases it is a false and harmful ideal.

Yes again, this model is photographed in a way that denotes hatefulness. I don't know how corporations think this kind of allusive imagery will provide long-term commercial success. I know it turns me off of the product. A smile goes a long way, you know?

From what you've told me, no. I loathe feminism for many reasons (I call myself Feminine) but even at this, a thinking, functional society gives a woman a voice. Sounds like this guy has a chip on his shoulder, and has subsequently bunched all women into the loud-mouthed, man-bashing feminist lot.

Excellent point, Graeystone. It is important for people to be "good people". I have known really great people over the years who actually weren't physically beautiful (by societal standards) but who became quite attractive due to their personality, sense of humor and sometimes just their 'goodness'.

I never got the whole, “Barbie’s too skinny”, “models are unrealistic standards for girls”.
As a kid I looked up to the Incredible Hulk, but I never felt bad that I wasn’t 7’10.
And as a teenager I looked up to different heavy weight boxers and strong men, so I trained and aimed to be like them.
But I never once thought about suicide ‘cause I couldn’t be 6’8 450 lbs like Brian Shaw.
If there’s really girls out there that look at Barbie and think, “Since I ill in comparison to Barbie, I have no choice but to take responsibility for betraying the shogun and commit Harakiri.”, they have pre-existing mental problems and it barely had anything to do with Barbie or models.
