What bugs me most about socialists is how they make themselves the enforcer of every law the government forces on us.

Ambition is working to achieve. Greed is wanting something for nothing in exchange.

If you think about it (which is very hard to do for the left) if a business owner's motivation is greed then to achieve his/her goals they would have to push production and sales harder. This typically means they hire more people to produce and sell more products. This creates jobs.

If greed is something that must be stopped then that destroys jobs.

AND most importantly, not all business owners are motivated by greed. In fact not very many are. Their are many reasons why a person starts a business. They believe they can make a better widget. They fear poverty and what to put as much distance between their live and being poor. They are driven to lead. Wanting to earn a profit is NOT greed.

The phrase "The love of money is the root of all evil" comes from the Bible. Money is not the root of all evil, the love of money is. It is entirely possible to start a business with the sole intention of getting rich without it being for the love of money. There are people who want to get rich so that they can help others.

Regardless what a person does with the money they earn is no one else' business. The more people are earning money the better the economy. The better the economy the more EVERYONE prospers, not just the rich.

Envy is the lust of what others have. Greed is an over consumption of wanting something.

The capitalists profit off our labor, monopolize resources and keep us in poor and destitute conditions, then their apologists, like you, accuse us of just being jealous and envious of the lords of industry. While we are barely getting by.
