Fruits Basket is a good shoujo anime to watch, many ppl are watching it and speak very highly of it.

If you like reading manga, I suggest Komi Can't Communicate. It's a really sweet manga and I really like it.

But if you wanna see some interesting stuff and know more about the rest of the anime fandom, I suggest watching a bit of shonen. One very popular shonen anime is MHA, it was the anime I started with. Although the fandom is kinda toxic and it recieves a lot of hate, it's a really nice show to watch.
