You didn't debunk crap, kid, you don't even know the difference between a county and city, and you deflected away from answering anything.
Basic fact is that even the Antebellum South was always poorer going back to English settlement and if it wasn't for FDR, it would still be horse drawn wagons on dirt roads and candles and shacks with no glass windows and outhouses and all that quaint stuff. Funny that Conservatives don't pine much for them days. The 1960s also witnessed further modernization, yet to this day, the South/Confederate/Red/Republican/Bible Belt States are THE poorest in the USA.
Even tax incentives and subsidies which transferred manufacturing from NY, Detroit, Chicago, Clevelans, Newark, etc (which is how that disappeared in those cities) to southern states plus a Walmart every other town still haven't done much anything to make their economies independent from the Fed Gov't's teat.
Sucks, I know, but if they still haven't been able to get their acts together all these centuries later, perhaps Big Daddy Gov't should trim back some and let them starve. This way there's less mouths to waste our money on,,,,
