The genesis of all good parody and satire is that there only has to be a grain of truth, from there you can get absurd as you want.

That's why the left can't meme, because they don't understand that basic fact. We're not here to defend our doctoral dissertation or present evidence in a court of law, we're here to make each other laugh and/or trigger those that we don't ageee with.

You make a good point about absurdity and being based on a grain of truth. I don't see the grain of truth in this particular meme so that's where you lose me. But absolutely exaggeration is a huge part of humor.

On reflection I didn't delve into the satire portion of the argument. Doesn't satire have to be funny? Humor is extraordinarily subjective so it's hard to argue what is and isn't humorous. Looking at the OP meme here I have a legit hard time imagining somebody finds it funny.
So what's left is the meme is just a troll move. I argue that isn't satire. It's weaponized propaganda.
