They will use him to symbolize whatever Voo-Doo Politics they are selling, then throw him away. No one seems to care about the future or the mental health of a kid whose fantasies went painfully awry and cost him so much. All they seem to care about is what he represents to their political position. That goes for both sides of the aisle.

What is done is done. But, this kid needs and deserves a good amount of down time. He needs to decompress from unnatural events he has lived through. Few of us can imagine what is going through his mind right now. He needs a good, empathetic therapist who can teach him to cope with the unbelievable pressure he probably feels right now, and the negative attention he is likely to be subject to the rest of his life.

He has not made a natural transition from kid to adult, yet. He is a human being who made serious mistakes in judgement that cost the lives of two people. He needs to process that in a more healthy environment than he faces as a "symbol."

I wasn't gonna respond, seeing this is the post you spit out once a month, meaning it's fairly reasonable in your meager attempt to feign even the slightest objectivity and bipartisanship buuut he didn't make any mistakes. I don't care what you think or say about me. I never met a combat Vet who didn't have mixed feelings about killing. And, they had hours of conditioning to detach themselves from the acts they were called on to do. The number of Vets who have PTSD is high, none-the-less. Hell, we have laws that protect Child Actors from improper exploitation. This kid deserves nothing less than the same level of protection they get.
