Because they are slaves to the police unions. Losing a police Union could be the difference between winning and losing elections. Law enforcement and criminal Justice is a joke. That’s how rittenhouse gets charged with murder when there were a dozen eyewitness videos that proved it was self defense. The prosecutors are so used to falsely charging people they do it with impunity—even when video evidence proves otherwise.

I would say there are many other influences besides police. Teachers and government workers as well. The police have little control over Soros backed DA’s who refuse to charge.

I agree about other powerful special interest groups holding tremendous power over elections. But the police are controlled by those same district attorneys. The police have almost zero legal power over prosecution. Without the blessings of the district attorneys, the police have hardly any power at all. But the reality is the police and prosecution are so intertwined that they are practically the same entity. There is no quarreling between police and district attorneys offices happening anywhere in America.
