No. The ports are vital and absolutely controlled by the government! California owns the ports in California. In fact, shipping is a critical aspect of America. The federal government has great power in regulating interstate commerce. Foreign trade is also federally controlled. The commerce and treaty powers are some of the greatest government powers that exist in the United States. You have no idea what you are talking about. It is a 100% government problem. And it is killing private business.

Not to mention killing the middle class and low income consumers. The rich can take the hit, but the rest of us are getting killed by runaway inflation.

The rich aren’t even taking a hit. They’re doing better than ever!

I said shipping, not ports. Its private carriers not getting it out of the ports.

Yes, but they aren’t getting out because the ports are really on strike. I drive past a major port every day, no one is even there trying to unload anything. The fake news is not reporting it but the ports are on strike.

The fake news? So where is the picket line? What are they striking for?

"Unionized longshoremen say they cant unload ships any faster because of truck and railroad workers are leaving tons of cargo stranded on docks." The backlogs are caused not by a lack of longshoremen, but the pileup of containers. According to the union website.

So fake news what? The union isnt striking, or they would be making it known! Or, do they just wish to speed along the automation process to replace them?

Fake news!!! Lolololol

Yes, they are on strike. In 2021 there are no Pickett lines. They just don’t go to work. Same with the fire department and sanitation where I live. They had to close almost all of the fire houses as unmanned even though no one declared a strike. We are lucky to get our garbage picked up once every 10 days. They don’t call it a strike, but they can’t hide the garbage piled up everywhere so the news refers to it as a “slow down” —!there are numerous public worker unions on strike now. Including the dock workers. Anyone saying they are not on strike is lying.
