If it were white patents who took it upon themselves to break laws in order to get free stuff, they'd be charged with neglect and illegal entry. While I cannot fault the child, the parents are lawbreakers and they know it.

Exactly. Blame the parents, not law enforcement. Every criminal sent to jail gets separated from their children. That’s not law enforcement’s fault, it’s the parents’ fault.
Also, just because they have an “anchor baby” in the US, doesn’t mean they can’t go with their parents who get deported. Separation was the parent’s choice and they should be required to take their children unless they can arrange for someone else to take care of them in the US.

Probably not. We know they use kids to get themselves on asylum wait list (aka, disappear in the US, never to be seen by immigration again).
