I am from Great Britain and I can confirm that we DO in fact celebrate Halloween

Ya! I love Trick Or Treating, and I'm from Great Britain. I only couldn't on Sunday because a friend had Covid so I had to isolate. I'm negative, tho

I'm surprised Mexico is on there, but then again they have their own festival of the dead.

Halloween is actually a Catholic tradition called All Hallows Eve, which celebrates the saints. It is a common misconception that Halloween is Samhain, a Celtic tradition. All Hallows Eve replaced Samhain in Ireland as Catholics typically replace pagan traditions with their own.

Halloween is actually All Hallows Eve, a Catholic tradition to honor the saints. So if you're a Protestant, it is understandable you do not celebrate it.
0 ups, 3y
I´m pretty sure that i´m Protestant, and that didn´t stop me from putting on a pumpkin mask, ringing a stranger´s doorbell, and asking for candy.

We also don't really celebrate Halloween where I'm from. People (usually families with kids under 10) sometimes trick or treat and put up decorations, but no one really cares.

yes except for the trick or treat part

Hating a country because of something they did in the past is just being an asshole
You’re saying England should be hated just because of colonisation?
Nein. Hitler was racist, not the entirety of Germany. The Germans were convinced by Hitler’s points, that he would drive the country to glory and the Jews were “hypocrites”.

I agree with this. However, wasn´t Hitler technically Austrian?
0 ups, 3y
Yeah he is but it doesn’t effect to being the leader of Germany.
A person from another country could be a leader to another.

It isn't necessarily banned, just not celebrated, and is considered rude to old people in Germany.
