Who are you talking about people on welfare that need ID to receive it? Poor Republicans in the south?

Everyone?

You're stereotyping that black people are disproportionately welfare recipients.

No. But there are POC who are welfare recipients, thus they are not being suppressed.

So you want only the head of household to be eligible to vote?

Yeah, no, you've not got the votes to change the law for that.

Yeah, big problem with all those two parent nuclear families we have nowadays.

....so now you want one vote between two married parents?

Not gonna happen!!! Two parents get two votes if they're both over 18.

Not the point. The ease of getting an I.D. is also a counter point to your point.

Sure, in your neighbourhood, probably.

If there's a problem getting I.D. legally somewhere, we need to fix it.

YES WE ABSOLUTELY DO - THAT'S WHAT EVERYONE'S BEEN SAYING FOR SEVERAL DECADES!!!!

What is the problem, then? 99% of people don't seem to have that problem, whatever it is.

It's actually closer to 90%. And they are 100% entitled to vote anyway. That's half the problem right there: people like you still aren't listening.

So, are they being turned away from getting an I.D. because of something they did?

No, there's nowhere to get turned away from. There's nowhere nearby to get their ID in the first place. That's what the issue's been for the past thirty years. You haven't been listening and that's half the problem right there.

I know a family that lost everything in a fire in their apt, so no replacing anything.

Others who didn't get a license when they were minors and could have their parents sign whatever are now stuck as adults because they have insufficient ID.
haha, I know people from two families who kept telling me it was easy and that I should have no problem change that tune when it happened to their older kids.

If your family is too poor to have been able to afford a car you ain't getting a driver's license, and then your kids can't, and then their kids...

Born and raised in NYC, had a drivers license, it expired, I went to renew it but 2 weeks too late (I hadn't driven for a while and lost track of it), so I had to start again from scratch, DMV requires 6pts worth of ID including photo, they said I didn't have enough (which was a lie because the expired license is all you need for 10yrs), that was in the 90s. Good thing I was already registered to vote because I can't do that now nor get a license.

It gets better - sent my birth certificate to my local Social Security because they told me that's all I needed to replace my Social Security card despite that being insuffficient ID, turns out it wasn't enough, so I got no new Social Security card aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I never got my birth certifcate back because - I shit you not - Social Security LOST IT! (that I was able to replace, but it's that hs diploma kind like Obama first showed)

I might as well be an illegal alien.
In fact, illagals can now get driver's licenses easier than I can here thanks to DerpBlasio, Gov Dumbo, and the rest of these dunderheads.

Welcome to my reality,,,

PS: I'm not the only one I know round these parts stuck in such a mess.

Regardless, the solution isn't getting rid of I.D. requirements. It's fixing those problems. We need I.D. for things so we can verify that we are who we say we are. Without I.D. requirements, anyone could buy alcohol. Anyone could access your bank accounts or apply for a job under your name. I.D. is vitally important. Voting is not the exception. Voting is probably the most important reason to have an I.D. Someone can and WILL vote under your name. It's already happened. I sympathize with people who are down on their luck and unable to get I.D. but there are better ways to help them is what I am saying. This is a case of wrong solution to an important problem that does need to be fixed.

What solution are you talking about that "isn't" and is "wrong"?

The solution to the issue of voter ID, is ........ voter ID!
Every country in the world which has voting automatically issues voter ID to its citizens as soon as they hit voting age, even Afghanistan. AFGHANISTAN!
How can this be so difficult for the USA - which invented modern voting - to do?
For real, AFGHANISTAN!

AFGHANIfrikkinSTAN!

Funny, I've never seen ONE INTERVIEW where it's the people / voters themselves bitching that they can't get an ID, or are being disenfranchised by an ID law.
Only the scum bag Dem Politicians.

I've seen dozens. I can only conclude that there's something selective about what you watch that ignores what people actually say.

Could you shoot me some links on even a half dozen of those? Thanks Ma'am

But only links from the same six sites you read, right? Otherwise they're biased or some other excuse?
