Yes, but no. He's no longer serving, he did his time and got out. Once a Marine always a Marine, and I don't use the term too often, but he's a former Marine, to describe his status.
So, he's not at too much risk for anything coming back on him. They could "lose" his file at the VA or the IRS could give him an extra special audit. More likely is his employer could make his life hell. He works at the Yuma proving grounds, so he's either a government employee or a contractor. Either one could fire him for cause tomorrow. It wouldn't look good, but they could do it.
