You're obviously going to the wrong churches. Stay away from any religious setting that condemns a person for being "gay". Adultery, on the other hand made the list because as it involves the breaking of a personal commitment/vow one person made to another.

Just wanted to say this: all priests that commit adultery are excommunicated, 3 or 4 pedophiles happen to be priests and now a lot of people hate all the other ones.

Idk. There's a few. It's still a very small amount, and because of their vow to celibacy any that is found to be a pedophile is excommunicated. It makes me sad to see how people portray Catholics in the wrong light

My uncle's a priest. Celibacy and everything. Its good, I just personally don't see the need

God's law is summarized in the Ten Commandments, so "Thou shalt not commit adultery," includes homosexual behavior, as well as all other forms of sexual immorality. The reason the Church focuses on homosexuality more than strict adultery, is that adultery is generally looked down upon in our culture. Almost anywhere you go you can see a sign or a bumper sticker that says something along the line of "Gay ally," but you'd have a much harder time finding any "Cheater ally" signs.
