Every single day I see more and more homophobic comments online. I look on a news video about how the LGBTQ+ community is apparently running out of letters, first thing I see is a comment telling people that we are after children. I know for a fact that most of the people I have met on this stream wouldn't hurt a fly, but those types of comments made by bigots who don't want to bother supporting us just makes me sad. Also, there are very few people defending us whenever a news video calls out a person pretending to be trans to harass women. I'm sick of straight people being able to say stuff like this. I'm sick of seeing straight people in this stream, but I promised myself that I would never bully allies again... I just need some advice. Thank you in advance...

Dear, There's a HUGE difference between haters and allies, Their orientation doesn't matter.
You can't tell if someone's good or bad just by their orientation.
It's best that you use the word "Hater" instead of "Straight" from now on, Cause i've seen a lot of straight people who are heroes to lgbt people, I dare say, Some of them are even better than LGBT people.

Allies are the literal reason why haters stopped executing us centuries ago.

I agree with everything Hajiotto said. I’m also extremely sensitive to homophobia, and some advice I got from another user was to try and do something to cheer myself up if I felt offended. In the same way that we can’t help being queer, cishets can’t help being straight, so don’t bully them. As for the straight allies in the stream, they probably want to help. They may worry about being cyber bullied/harassed online if they leave a supportive comment on those news videos, or they may not even watch those particular news videos in the first place.

The news reports are just trying to get attention, and are almost always one sided and are trying to start controversy. Everything has consequences, whether they happen immediately or not, those homophobes won’t be able to do this forever, and the reason you see more and more stuff about this is probably because they are starting to fear us, every day we get a little bit closer to reaching our goal, and the closer we get, the clearer it will be to tell who’s an ally and who isn’t. Straight people aren’t the problem, it’s the homophobes and transphobes, try to remember this no matter how hard it gets
