I still enjoy her work but I do not support her values or beliefs. I don't have to agree with her or like her to enjoy her work. Her writing is a big part of my childhood and I'm not gonna let her being a bitch ruin that.
Lmao but in all reality, depends on how accepting they are. When I came out to my mom I just walked up to her in a skirt, said surprise, and hugged her. She was pretty chill about it(I just can't wear them anywhere besides my early college school and friends houses cuz she's scared that the public might hurt me and she wants me to be safe)
But if they aren't as accepting or you're not sure I'd bring up the general topic and ask how they feel about it first.
