4. The liberal agenda's Modern Permissive Culture corrupts the foundations of civilized freedom and is destroying America's magnificent political achievements.

AND

The Liberal Mind asks and answers the following critical question: Why would anyone want a political system that restricts personal freedom instead of enhancing it; denounces personal responsibility instead of promoting it; surrenders personal sovereignty instead of honoring it; attacks the philosophical foundations of liberty instead of defending them; encourages government dependency instead of self-reliance; and undermines the character of the people by making them wards of the state?

Where did you hear that from? These are opinions and not facts, or even real arguments. That is certainly one way to look at things, but it's not the way things are. Don't you think there is any room for compromise in that so that we can all live in peace and embraced each other as kin and not enemies?

This is how Leftists argue, either:
1. Those aren't facts!
2. That's only your opinion!

Of course they are real arguments. You can answer how you think I am wrong if you have an answer.

It would be great to find some common ground, but in my experience in talking to Lefties, compromise for them means coming in total agreement with their point of view. They don't ever seem to feel the need to alter their opinion.

Self awareness is important. So is empathy. Otherwise you'll be connecting dots that don't always make a picture.

I'm not sure you know what the difference is between a fact and an opinion. okay there is a lot to unpack there so I'll just start with your first point.

Must they? Is that a fact, or is it something you heard somewhere and happen to believe. What is the Biological, Psychological, and social nature of man? Are those things you are an expert in? Who sets the perimeters? What is the data on those perimeters? Is it across the board, or are their variants?

We can start with agreement on your first sentence. The fact that you have not launched into name calling leads me to think i may have been wrong to label you so quickly.

Facts and opinions. Unless it be based on mathematical or scientific data, the concept of facts and opinion can become blurred, particularly when discussing social or political topics. This also depends on what you mean by "fact". What is a fact to you?

Your question: "Must they be?" What is the purpose of setting rules for human behavior? Is the goal for rule-making a social attempt at creating the greatest amount of weal and the lest amount of woe for the social group that is enforcing the rules on itself?

I was asking simply to see if you know what are facts vs opinions. I don't believe you have a monopoly on understanding the difference either. Defining terms is the first step in discussions. As I said, unless facts are based on math or scientific principles (and not all science is entirely fact driven), one man's facts are another man's opinion.
