JohnnyCab, excellent meme, imo. You've hit on something that I've been saying all along (the economy killing, health destroying, self imposed sanctions promoted by our liberal overlords in the govt) about the value judgments that we, as a society or culture, make when it comes to what kills us and which of those things we'll tolerate.
We're a high speed car driving, cigarette smoking, TV-watching, over-eating obese nation, with all the self-imposed maladies that come with all of that, particularly obesity (diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc.) Yet for some reason, when this virus hit, we went ape-shit crazy trying to shut everything down, which we've never done before. Not even for all the things we know kill us, but we've deemed too important to stop doing.
If the actual mortality rates related to this virus were promoted by the obviously biased anti-Trump media, no sane person would have advocated forcing businesses to close, forcing people to lose their livelihoods, explicitly or implicitly persuading people to put off regular medical care, or shutting down schools, etc. But it was all done as part of the grand strategy to take down Trump. And it worked. And now we have Biden completely fcuking up handling the virus, even though that was the single issue he ran on. He needs to hold himself to the standard he held Trump to during the election. If his demented mind could do that, he'd be in favor of impeaching himself!
