What is this? Multiple choice or a bad attempt at an outline.
1. Never called what happemrd on Jan 6 terrorism but rather I called Babbitt specifically a terrorist due to her actions. Some people were there to legitimately protest. And not everyone inside the Capitol broke in. But there were people there to do more than just protest and given how far into the building Babbitt got and where she was going, even if she didn’t know, can be considered an act of terror because she was specifically part of a mob chanting harmful intent to our representatives.
2. Bullshit. There has been people bringing up imagery that people should not fear government but rather government it’s people. And you know what? That is a great message if you’re under tyranny. But not when there is a peaceful transition of power. That peace was ended by the angry mob that stormed the Capitol to people protesting what exactly? Election results? The will of the American people? Don’t start me on that stollen election bullshit. The military, not just a few idiots from the military, like Babbitt, wouldn’t have stood for that! Nor would the courts and constitutionalists. Andif they did, then you’re already living in a tyrannical country and you’re just wasting your time arguing with me. Or trying to recruit others to fight in your cause. Good luck doing that in a real tyrannical country, by the way. You’d already be gone!
3. If your first thought when you see a barricade is to climb it, then you’ve not been trained in basic military tactics. Oops! Babbitt was a vet. I guess she didn’t think anyone was armed on the other side and thought it was perfectly legal to scale it. Never mind.
4. I never said Trump instructed supporters to go commit any violence whatsoever in his speech earlier that day. I said- it was what he wanted. What did he want?
Trump wanted to remain President. That’s all. And people died for it.
In vain.
Trump wanted those people to peacefully convince Mike Pence, somehow, to not do his constitutional duty. First, Pence had no authority to do that. None, zip, zilch! Yet Trump continued to lie to his supporters that he did. And Trump hid behind his good intentions of trying to “peacefully” retrain power that no longer belonged to him; but in the end, his stupidity is why he lost in 2020. And why there was any bloodshed at all on January 6th.
All he had to do was admit he lost.
He just couldn’t do that!
