True, but that is true for ANY investment...Pensions, life insurance, etc...I am not arguing that SS is good just that is NOT a good example of socialism.

Well how are you supposed to manage your money and get JiggyFly at the same time? Also, did you know that most of the people who work the hardest make the least amount of money.
if you'd like, you can make an effort to learn how to manage your money AND you can keep working harder in order to prove your worth to an employer, thus earning more money. simple.
So I pay $300,000+ over 40 years into the system and then collect $1500 per month when I retire and you consider that a redistribution? I look at it as a terrible forced investment.
