At first I thought you meant because the road is just continually going downhill, but then as it goes off into the distance and becomes less distinct, you look at the outline of the road and realize it's going up in the picture, like it's forming a steeple pointing continually into heaven... And in that way it's a metaphor for the meme, which seems so cringey at first, but as it nears the end you realize it's achieved something beautiful and transcendent...
