Maybe if UK and Europe locked up their criminals they would have lower crime rates. A person is 5 times more likely to be mugged in LONDON then NY. A women is almost 20 times more likely to be raped in Sweden than the US . Additionally 1/3 of all prisionors in the US are illegal immigrants. THE US incarnation rate is only slightly higher then that of most of Europe when you factor out aliens, and even then some of that Is do to cultural, political, demographic, civil differences. For example in most of Europe Felonies are prosecuted by the national Government in the U S they are primarily prosecuted at state level courts making comparisons between US and foreign countries rather mute.

I should say those #s are 2018 pre-covid the crime rate gap likely closed some since then.
