Yes. But in the context of pronouns, one person can't be"they". When used like the dictionary says, it is perfectly acceptable. But someone saying "I am a they" is ridiculous.

To answer your question below "How am I trying to have it both ways?" - you say that religious people manage to say what they believe anyways. Let that sink in and see how many ways that can be taken.

One way that it can be taken is that you don't want religious people to say what they say because you don't believe the same way.

THEN I remind you of their first amendment rights and you're all like "Oh of course they can say what they want."

Like I said many times before, when used in THAT CONTEXT, it is perfectly acceptable. BUT when used in a way such as "hi! My pronouns are they them"that is scientifically, religiously, grammatically wrong, not to mention going against common sense.

To a real christian (or even Muslim to my knowledge) there are 3 genders. It is grammatically wrong in the context of "I am a they". You obviously haven't been reading my previous comments. And to a normal person it is common sense.

I love how every one of your "rebuttals" is just saying it has nothing to do with atheism, even though it does. I'll admit the Bible has some crazy stuff in it ,but you can't honestly say only religious people say crazy things.

If it's not something you would hear in most if not all churches we christians probably don't believe in it. If it IS, (ie, story of Creation, Ressurection of Christ, etc. ) then we DO believe it.

Christians believe more in the New Testament than the Old. Because the Old Testament has a lot of, shall we say, STRANGE passages. A lot of the books were more symbolic than literal, except nowadays the symbolism doesn't make sense to us. Yes. And many atheists don't believe in some of the things I said. But most do.

A lot of things you can tell what's symbolic and what's literal. Most believe definitely in the larger, more literal books (Genesis, Exodus, Psalms, Kings, etc. ) Smaller books like Job are less prestigious.

Because it makes more sense than the really weird books (trust me, they have them...)
