You guessed wrong. Afghanistan is now looking at a civil war; they were in full agreement that the Americans needed to go, but now that we're gone, they're ready to deal with the Taliban AS AFGHANS.

The Taliban always be fighting the west. The concept was to be doing the fighting on their home turf, not ours. The idiot in the White House just enabled the Taliban to bring the fight to us.
Oh yes, our military is leaving Afghanistan; but that does not mean that the fighting is over. It means that the Taliban will regroup stronger, intending to fight on our turf. The original mission of 20 years ago seems to be forgotten.
