Who is Joe Biden blaming - TODAY?
In July, we gave away a defensible airbase in Bagram that would have come in real handy right now:
---
Wikipedia:
As part of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, after nearly 20 years of continuous US presence at the site, the Bagram Air Base was handed back to the Afghan government on 1 July 2021. The last remaining U.S. troops left the base by shutting off the electricity and slipping away in the night without notifying the Afghan Armed Forces. The base was looted by local civilians soon after US forces left the area.

Why did we give literally give it away before getting our people out?
Ask who's in charge?
Or ask Joe Biden?

I asked Biden if he personally rejected a recommendation to hold or retake Bagram Air Force Base. He said he asked military brass, and "they concluded, the military, that Bagram was not of much value. It was much wiser to focus on Kabul. So, I followed that recommendation."

And what's this about?

This was an excellent question. Kudos to you. There was a lot of talk last week that a brigade of the 82nd was set to retake Bagram, last Monday, but that Biden scuttled the mission en route, and they shifted fire to HKIA.

HKIA is "Hamid Karzai International Airport" - Kabul
