It's not just that, but conversely Brown Hispanic-Americans would be thought to be themselves ONLY thirteen percent of the population according to their representation on both the large and small screens instead of the huge percent of the population that they actually represent. Since leftists TOTALLY control what shows up on television and movie screen . . . why do leftists hate Brown Hispanic-Americans so much? Why are leftists so terribly bigotted?

Leftists don't want equality anymore, that failed in their eyes, they want equity and guaranteed outcomes.

I agree. They break out in a rash at the very notion of competition and there being a winner and a loser. Maybe that ultimately is why they rigged the 2020 election . . . a guaranteed outcome.

Yes, I've totally noticed that it seems like every commercial (or every-other commercial) stars POC.

Whatever, I hardly watch "live" TV anymore, DVR it all and skip the commercials. I watch a lot of old westerns like Maverick, Rawhide, Wanted Dead or Alive - you know, non woke stuff that was good and wholesome!

I got "frndly tv". Its lame but at least its woke free

Anybody think this related meme should be posted in politics?
Tried to submit it there , was told it was not the right classification, I thought it fit the criteria as political because it's the current political climate that was the impetus for it, at least in my warped melon.

Of course it is but this is Nu-Imgflip.

Funny, Sobrmn! :) I agree with your assessment and today it is political by all means. Thank goodness there are some good conservative mods but Sydney is also right as we are having issues posting things these days.

BTW, I think the guy that rejected it, just didn't "get" the reference, or implication.

That is why your meme belonged in the politics section. There are an overwhelming number of people in America who do not follow or understand what is happening to our country politically. They haven't a clue and a lot of them frequent the 'fun' section on imgflip. At least in 'politics' there are conservatives who know the dire implications facing us with Democrats at the helm. That meme of yours was gold and it would have been lost on the fun section. Did you end up posting it there? If so, could you post a link to it?

I will occasionally post in the fun section but I don't really understand some of their memes that go up to 10,000 views and beyond. I think perhaps teenagers would appreciate the memes but as an adult, I don't 'get them'. So, I enjoy adult conversation in 'politics or conservatives'. I lose brain cells sometimes just talking to liberals but I guess I don't give up hope of rehabilitating them (but to be honest, most of them are 'too far gone' to change).

Well, it now has 2 up-votes instead of 1 since I just added my vote....lmao. This is exactly what I thought would happen as imgflippers in 'fun' have no clue of the political environment.

Yeah, back in the day I heard some stat like 80% of the people got all their info on current events from Late night TV, like Leno, and Letterman. Probably more true now than ever, and those folks elect our "leaders". Maybe the ignorance is bliss though. LOL

Yeah, surprised you didn't hear the whoosh sound of it going over everybody's heads.
(And the comment, IS MINE)

Thanks for confirming sometimes I'm only half NUTS ! LOL

Sobrmn, you "get it" and are nowhere close to half nuts. We are dealing with full nut jobs....leftists....and I am amazed they can walk around and chew gum at the same time.

IGK, I think you missed the point of the meme. Please review it as it has nothing to do with me but has everything to do with building onto a false premise while attempting to orchestrate "truth" through reverse racism.

No, I get what you're trying to say, but I don't see why it's a big deal. Nobody says our media has to reflect the racial makeup of the nation.

By that same token though, I oppose the notion that someone, especially a voice actor, should be cast purely because of their skin color or gender. So if we get to a point where it becomes a rule that every possible demographic must be represented in every bit media then I'll agree with you, but that's not really the case right now.

I don't believe in quotas & set-asides and most definitely agree that hiring has nothing to do with skin tone or gender, IGK. Pick THE BEST PERSON for the job. If you truly 'oppose hiring' on the basis of skin color, you would agree with me because that is the current situation referenced in my meme.

Your original comment was for me to not watch TV if it bothered me. What bothers me is the 'pandering nature' of the media and woke culture. What also bothers me is the "white man bad" attitude and atmosphere today in an attempt to sideline/erase/harm ONE race, which is clearly racist.

In the past, minorities were not represented enough in ads; today they are over-represented (undoubtedly AGENDA driven by the left). Women are over-represented in the SJW's quest to have women dominate and control. Gays are over-represented as most people are not gay and most are not transsexuals. The ad companies are going beyond the comfort zone of most of their audience. I am a heterosexual female so would prefer to see men in ads without effeminate mannerisms or dress. I also don't want children confused as to how males act so the constant "in your face gay pride push" is not my preference in advertisement. If you watch TV at all, you would think that the vast majority of Americans are either women or gay men who are attracted to only minorities (and not to heterosexuals and definitely not to white men). This pushes "woke" ideology but does not represent reality.

Maybe the media wants to push black and gay TV presence in reaction to the craziness of the times. Logical? Perhaps not. But if that's the case then it's hard to argue that they aren't hiring the best people for that goal.

This is just my $0.02. If I don't like something I don't support it. If enough people in enough demographics are turned off by over saturation of particular groups, and then turn off their TV set in turn, companies will take note and start promoting more balanced content.

In the end, I simply don't care enough about skin color to be bothered by it. White family, hispanic family, middle eastern family...just sell me your home security system, or insurance, or new 2021 Subaru BRZ.

Yea..once saw a guy holding a "minorities for democracy" sign. But, in a democracy, the majority wins.......
