I disagree... Ben Shapiro is drastically different from CNN. A better comparison would be to hold him up next to Joe Rogan or TYT. They may talk about current events and maybe even do so in a very serious manner... but they're just people speaking to an audience about their opinions. Mr. Shapiro is a super, ultra conservative... so it makes sense that if you tune into his show, you'll hear opinions that are colored by those believes.

The trouble with the CNN comparison is that CNN is supposed to report news. Just news. Facts, figures, data... maybe some neutral explanation of how to interpolate the presented data. The fact that anyone would so readily compare CNN with Mr. Shapiro speaks to what an abysmal job CNN does in conveying news... it's a slight against CNN entirely. Like when FOX news was compared to Jon Stewart back in the day... a news organization being compared to news satire wasn't a great look for FOX.

To be fair... everyone seems to be loosing their minds... though for different reasons. It doesn't help that those we turn to for information tend to misrepresent/omit/lie about the information they should be putting out to the masses.

To your point about communists... they seem to be produced mainly in colleges and universities these days. Though not currently, I've been attending college/university since 2006 to gain various degrees. My personal observations are obviously anecdotal -- and therefore should be taken with a grain of salt -- but from what I've seen, especially in the social sciences, teachers/professors are pushing their students toward a positive outlook on Socialism/Communism, if not actively making them mouth its tenants to gain a passing grade. It was disheartening to witness... and a pain in the ass to endure.

That's bad sportsmanship which reflects negatively on the country she obligated herself to represent. Furthermore, her failure to meet her self-imposed events causes hardship to other athletes who now must fill those slots. She failed, and rather than accept a loss, she quit.

Ahh... yeah. Shapiro makes some valid points and his ability to apply logic to create a favorable framing for his arguments is amazing to watch/listen to... but expected given his vocation pre-podcast host. At the end of the day, however, he is uber conservative. That said, he has previously displayed the strength of character to defend his opponent's arguments/interests to remain logically consistent with his espoused values... which is always awesome to see.

This softness of personality and weakness of character is a product of what our children are being taught... and, to an extent, what our parents taught us. We, as a nation, are swerving unsteadily toward a dangerous future where we are too conflicted to protect ourselves or the values enshrined in our Constitution and laws. America is now more focused on emotion and narcissism than critical reasoning and selfless service... and that's not good with other nation-states rattling their sabers in our direction.

However, it will be harder for her in the future.
