Ask and a hate-filled and ignorant leftist SHALL be educated: The Communications Over Various Feeds Electronically for Engagement Act (COVFEFE Act), House Bill H.R. 2884, was introduced in the United States House of Representatives on June 12, 2017, during the 115th United States Congress. The bill was intended to amend the Presidential Records Act to preserve Twitter posts and other social media interactions of the President of the United States, and requires the National Archives to store such items.[1][2] H.R. 2884 was assigned to the House Oversight and Reform Committee for consideration. While in committee, there were no roll call votes related to the bill. The bill died in committee.[3]

Why delete it then? It was deleted hours later. If it were a true complete thought and communication, why not double down on it then? I dont care what your excuse is, it was a rhetorical question.

What's interesting is that Trump haters never bothered to investigate because they feared that then their political narrative would explode in their face. The truth was there from the get-go. But they got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more mileage out of just making things up . . . and so they did.

As I'm want to say on this site - as well as every time someone quotes news media without doing additional research into the matter - the news media are hacks. Unfortunately, most people think that doing due diligence requires nothing more than watching FOX, CNN, MSNBC, NPR (etc.) and then regurgitating what they hear.

If today's colleges/universities don't do a sufficient job making Americans dumb... news media is there to ensure that the cognitive vegetation is complete. #Notall of course... but in general.

Yep . . . except that the term already existed at the time as a failed legislative bill that was aimed at nailing Trump to the wall for the increadible leftist made 'crime' of tweeting. It was the acronym for the Communications Over Various Feeds Electronically for Engagement Act (COVFEFE Act), House Bill H.R. 2884. The Trump hating and fiercely leftist loyal mainstream media simply didn't inform the nation that it actually existed and that this was what Trump had been referring to.

I'm aware of that... and so should everyone who took the time to attempt to figure out what the former President was referring to... hence the power memes have on the naturally curious who do their due diligence.

... and why I say Trump was a meme generator. He was amazingly adept at conveying (relatively) complex thoughts through a simple word or short phrase.

The fact that the mainstream media jumped on the text with such vigor and lack of research exemplifies their efficacy. They are hucksters, charlatans, frauds and/or hacks... or at least the VAST majority.

Indeed . . . or in simplist form . . . they now function as the permanent political propaganda arm of the Dem Party. Thus intelligent and well-informed people no longer trust much of anything that they declare as truth . . . unless first those same people go through the work of independently researching the issue. It's sad but that's what our mainstream media has devolved into being.

That seems quite accurate.

If you're interested Allsides.com is a fairly interesting site that aggregates news articles on the same topic, assigns a bias value and indicates how the (relatively) left, right and center present the exact same information. It's really quite something.

Even if it was a misspelling it was in the middle of the night. Don't know about anyone else but I've posted comments online in the middle of the night, looked at them hours later and ended up wondering what drugs I was on to screw up basic grammar and spelling that badly.
