Whats the scar from?

It was a group shot of many vaccines at once. I have that scar, still polio free :)

The smallpox vaccine is known to leave this scar. I've given thousands of this live (cowpox) vaccine in the U.S. military. All of our troops who're heading to the Middle East or Africa have to get it unless they have a scar from getting it when they were a kid. George Washington did the same (cowpox) for Revolutionary war soldiers.

A lot of military have to get it, including myself, so I think quite a few people born in the 80s or later have not had the shot. The disease is definitely still around in high-poverty countries.
