"If that was happening housing prices would be falling instead of rising. Because that would create a huge surplus of houses"
the reason they're rising is because places like San Fran can't afford to maintain the unprofitable suburbs. suburban America is inefficient due to car dependency and every street needing a sewage, water, and electrical system; let alone massive space requirements.
"BTW I'm a boomer and I'm 63 and I'm in great health. Or to quote Monty Python, "I'm not dead yet"."
aight. i might be confused, but i thought gen X was reaching the 60s around this time. of course, these generational differences do have the lines blurred depending on who you talk to.
you might be interested in my rant about why trains are better (than cars & planes), mainly because i want to gain opinions from american boomers who grew up in a car-dependent society. I'm still in the process of planning out my fifth part: why trains are better than planes (in most cases).
