Not trying to take away from your message but I think you are probably saying if "They Live" came out in 2021 it would be as your meme says. Because the movie came out in 1988 and Roddy Piper died several years ago.

Unfortunately, producer John Carpenter, said he made this movie in opposition of capitalism. Another ignorant left wing moron criticizing capitalism while earn millions of dollars from it. If he hated capitalism he should live in a cardboard box and give every penny he earned to the government.

They even got the Supreme Court to unconstitutionally overstep their limits and unconstitutionally forced gay marriage as law on the state's. Marriage was a city or county government responsibility, NOT the federal government. The Courts are forbidden by the Constitution to make law.

But what is the government doing in the marriage business anyway?? That is a religious ceremony. The government should have backed out of the marriage issue altogether and let the individual churches decide how they want to perform marriage.

That's how you maintain freedom and make all parties happy.

So you are equating TV shows to reality? Why would you do that? TV is NOT reality. I know who yuppies are. They existed long before the 80's and they still exist today. The only difference is that in the 80's someone came up the term "yuppie"

Yuppie is a cross between Young Urban Professional and hippie. They weren't hippies they just took the latter half of the word and added to the YUP acronym. It was to describe a young man or woman who was working to move up the corporate ladder.

It had less to do with consumerism than it did with trying to reach a level of success. There have always been those kind of people. They exist today and they existed before the 80's.

The he did a lousy job saying capitalism is bad within the movie. It's like All In The Family. It was meant to piss of conservatives however it backfired because Conservative hound it hilarious.

It think is because Democrats weren't that overt about socialism until Obama became president. I bought the DVD and found that out by watching the extras on the disc. I bought it only because it is probably the most well-known crappy B movie that I know of. And it much more applicable to the conservatives seeing through the left's idiocy.
