Why get a vaccine if you got it to not wear a mask, and you have to wear one anyway?

It's just utter nonsense

No. Because the vaccine only prevents you from dying. You can still get it and be infectious
1 up, 3y,

Then what's the point of it not killing you, wouldn't that mean you could suffer for a long time if it wouldn't kill you

I mean, the vaccine doesn't prevent you from being infectious, It prevents you from getting serious symptoms, so that it is, essentially, a bad cold

Actually the studies are showing the vaccine doesn't do jack because the virus mutates too fast.

Look them up.

So you can't be bothered to link them to me?

Either way, the websites I found to be credible (The ones that didn't have antivax in the url) said that the memory cells created by the vaccines are able to recognise and defeat multiple variations of coronavirus (Not Sars-Cov-2, the current virus we are dealing with, I mean the family of coronaviruses)

Try pub med or the CDC website.

OK. Thanks for the tip

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34289274/

It states that, as long as you get two shots, the vaccine's effectiveness against the Delta variant is 93.7% of the effectiveness against the og covid. So, they are definitely effective

Then why get the vaccine when hcq and zinc do the same thing and you'll have longer immunity if you do actually get sick?
[deleted]
1 up, 3y,

The vaccine only has to be taken once (or twice). Zinc needs to be taken as a supplement. And HCQ supresses trained immunity, meaning it also has to be taken as a supplement. That basically makes you completely reliant on getting them. Vaccines don't do that
[deleted]

But there's no side effects with those supplements

As I said, HCQ supresses trained immunity. So yes. Side effects. And the side effects that you get from vaccines are, exaggerated, to say the least. The largest estimate I could find was that 4,000 Americans have died from the Covid vaccine. Compare that with 600,00 US deaths from Covid itself, you can see my point here. Not very dangerous. Especially considering that 57% of Americans have been vaccinated, and that Just around 10% of Americans have actually gotten Covid. Not even to mention that most people who died from the covid vaccine had pre-existing conditions and were elderly.

Where are you getting that HCQ suppresses trained immunity?
HCQ works by accelerating zinc and other things into cells making them stronger and more likely to fend off attacks so the immune system can identify and kill the invaders.

If you knew science you would know they are talking about inherited immunity. As in you won't pass it on to your children.

No, it says, pretty clearly, right there, Trained immunity.

And, either way, it is only a cure. Not a vaccine. And, if you get covid and you need it, you need to go to a hospital, which costs you serious money in the US, and is generally a waste of money given that you could just get a vaccine and thats it

The 600k deaths are inflated to include anyone who has died while testing positive for covid. Including suicides (cdc website) the actual number is more around 13k. I'm wasn't talking about deaths per se, but all of the side effects... neurological damage, reproductive damage, miscarriage, skin burning from inside, myocarditis, blood clots, etc.
Hcq TEMPORARILY suppresses immune systems, but has proven to work with no lasting effects. They don't know the long term effects the vaccines can have, especially when it comes to offspring.

And most people who died from covid were elderly with pre-existing conditions.

Sorry the numbers for vaccine injury and death are in the 10,000s and going up. Do some research.

'A neurological disorder appeared in some people who got the vaccine'. Well in that case.... Yeah, the FDA have to put a warning for every single possible side effect something might have. If you had actually read the Yahoo source, you would've seen that only 100 cases have even been suspected among recipients of the vaccine. 100. Out of the 13 million who got the vaccine, that is really not enough. The FDA themselves said there is not enough evidence to support a casual relationship. Read your sources

Onto the CNS news article: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/cns-news/

Onto the NY post: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/new-york-post/
But also, read your source material. It said that such adverse reactions are extremely rare. Right there. The Doctor reporting it said herself she was a big proponent of the vaccine.

Onto the State of the Nation: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/state-of-the-union-2012/

Onto Pharmabiz. Read the source material. I read it. It reports there are risks, but benefits outweigh them by a lot.

So, 3 of your sources straight-up disagreed with you, and the other two are biased enough to get the 'Propaganda' rating

The benefits outweigh the risks? Tell me, if I gave you a bowl of 13 million m&ms and said 100 of them had cyanide in them, would you reach in and grab a couple?
The risks to me are to great, even in small numbers, for me to get an experimental vaccine that they don't know long term effects.

Onto media fact checking... if you look at any left wing site, they all have gold stars including CNN and Washington Post where they've redacted several reports but still got a high rating, where as any right wing has "little to no credibility". Who"s fact checking the fact checkers?
[deleted]
0 ups, 3y
That's a very innacurate analogy. A more accurate would be: 'You have a 1 in 130,000 chance to get a severe allergic reaction to an m&m. Do you reach in and grab one? Warning: Not eating an m&m will lead to an increased risk of getting severe side effects from covid.

In which case, I would eat one, because they are increasing my chances to survive covid.

Onto the worst paragraph I have ever seen. Research.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-post/

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/left/cnn-bias/

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/?s=extreme+left

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/?s=left+center

As you may have noticed, it is not that left wing sources are getting gold stars, because ones that are rated left biased are 'mostly factual' at best and extreme left biased ones are rated 'mixed' at best. It's left-centre sources that get factual reviews. Then, if you look at sources rated right-centre biased, you can see that many are also rated 'factual'.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/?s=right+center

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/?s=extreme+right

Then, you see that this is the same for right-wing media sources. I think it's safe to say that you just need more moderate sources. Ones that don't lie
