"And yes, like most invading aliens, grey is about as pale as they get, unless you're referring to the paler parts of Predator's face, the rest which is of different and darker hues."
So I guess dark haired Caucasians aren't pale?
"The truth in Sci Fi is bit more insidious and less of the social commentary on Euro-only (because the rest of humanity all still lives in what used to be mangrove swamps in what is now the Red Sea) invasion and colonization you claim.
Instead of trying to prove what has proven to be a demonstrably weak point, perhaps reading a little (like that reply to the top comment) and learning from such might prove beneficial."
I could say the same to you: focus on my claim, not what you think it means. First, I spoke specifically on alien 3. You tried to hijack the conversation to the entire franchise. Since you set the precedent of the conversation to permit such hijacking, I mentioned the predator species.
Second, the main point, you assume my claim states that all colonization movies are a commentary on white colonialism. The title sets the context for the prompt within the meme as a currently as five discussion. I never said that these stories were written for the purpose of such commentary. I said "Have you considered this perspective you're witnessing?" This assumes you're in on that specific conversation
Meaning, there is a conversation about such interpretation. Clearly, you haven't heard of it as you're trying to unilaterally debunk it's existence. I assure you, this interpretation exists. This interpretation further does not change the commentary of the movies, but simply makes a unique observation that can be gleaned by looking at the trope as a whole.
Do keep defending claims that were never made, if such tropes and the parallels that people draw from them make you uncomfortable. That is completely your prerogative.
