I think Poland and Hungary are unique cases. They’ve gone in a hard-right direction, squashing press freedom, political competition and gay rights.

The E.U. is considering sanctioning or ejecting them because they aren’t in line with “European Values.”’ However, I don’t see the core E.U. countries departing any time soon.

By domino effect, I mean like a friend of Poland or Hungary in EU says "You know what, if you are kicking them out I am leaving" and that happens a bit

But yes, mostly won't matter as long as no core members are out of the EU

However I was reading something (I don't remember where it was from or the link) but it said that the top 5 countries in the EU (not in order) are Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Poland
